Castle House, Elephant & Castle, Central London by
Hamilton Architects

Multiplex UK gained planning consent for a landmark 408 apartment
residential development in the Elephant & Castle regeneration area
of Central London in June 2006. Designed by the award winning
London-based Hamiltons Architects, the scheme comprises a stunning
43 storey tower – the first tall building in the world to feature
integral wind turbines – and a 5 storey pavilion (marketed as
Strata, SEI), and is the focal point in one of Europe’s largest
regeneration projects. It is the first key development to come
forward as part of the £1.5 billion regeneration of this 170 acre
area of Central London. Fully embracing sustainable design, the
tower will stand proudly at the heart of the new look Elephant &
Castle and will provide a dynamic addition to London’s skyline.
Residents will be able to enjoy stunning views of London’s main
landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, St Pauls
and Canary Wharf.
