MercerHotelier Andre Balazs, creator of The Mercer Hotel, Chateau Marmont, The Raleigh, and Sunset Beach, has merged his lavish hotel-level service and development talents with Jean Nouvel’s modern, Bauhaus signature, SLCE’s on site architectural talents, Roman and Williams’s skill as an architectural interiors and furniture design firm, and Hines Limited Partnership, a world renown development firm, to create Soho’s ultra luxury, architecturally significant condominium residences. Jean Nouvel, designer of such well known projects as the Lyon Opera House, the Cartier Foundation, Galleries Lafayette flagship, among other architecturally significant buildings, infamously uses glass, light, shadow and color to create transparency in what turns out to be a very distinctive building. The scale of the building mirrors those around it; the style also blends well with industrial, cast-iron, gritty Soho. |

The
Urban Glass HouseModeled after Philip Johnson's personal home, "The Glass House" in New Canaan, Connecticut, which he designed and built in 1950 and lived in until his death in 2005, the development was inspired by the architect's affinity for light and modernist principles. Annabelle Selldorf, an architect known for combining the best of modernity and minimalism, has designed the interiors, incorporating tones of black, gray and silver with anthracite colored kitchen cabinets and stainless steel countertops.
